Vacation Bible School 2019
Registration
The 2019 Vacation Bible School was held from June 23rd to June 27th.
Registering the children are Sharon Hirstein and Lana Berg.
Day 1
After registration, the children assembled in the sanctuary where
Andrea Loft talked with the children before starting their first activity.
Singing
Pam Allen led the children throughout the week with
learning
songs, Bible verses and Bible Points.
On Day 1, the children learned the Bible verse from Nahum 1:7.
The children also learned a Bible Point each day.

Day 2

On Day 2, the children learned the Bible verse from Psalm 23:4.

On Day 3, the children learned the Bible verse from Psalm 106:1.

Day 4
On Day 4, the children learned the Bible verse from Psalm 34:18.

During this Game Time the children were tasked with finding the 3 scented
cotton balls with a pleasing odor. All the other cotton balls were scented with
less pleasant odors. Not as easy as they thought!
Day 5

On Day 5, the children learned the Bible verse from Nehemiah 4:14.

(Mostly play.)
At the end of the final day of VBS, the children sang the songs they
learned all week for their parents, grandparents and friends.
Several of the VBS leaders also talked about the various things the
children learned at each of the activities during the week.
Also, on the following Sunday morning, many of the children
and their parents joined us for church service where the children
sang their songs and the leaders talked about the things their
children experienced during the week.
Meet Ziva!
Each day, Ziva was subtly placed around the church and the
children were to supposed to report where they saw her.
These are the ones to first spot her each day.
Sadly, VBS week came to a close. The children had fun while
learning and the volunteers had great pleasure in teaching them.
Let us pray.
Lord, thank you for bringing these children to us & giving us the
opportunity to teach them about the many ways You and your
son Jesus helped the people of long ago and how You
are in our lives today. Bless these young lives
that they may grow to follow You, Trust in You,
Trust in Jesus and & be Your disciples. Amen.

Thank you, parents, for allowing us to teach your children during
their time at "Roar!", VBS 2019. We hope their experiences during
the week at VBS will be a lasting memory that they will pass on to others
so that they too will trust in both our God and Lord Jesus that they will be
there when life is unfair, life is scary, life changes, life is sad and life is good!
Thanks to Andrea Loft, our VBS Director, to those who donated
food & other supplies, made props and to those who volunteered
many hours to make VBS a success.
