Day 1, Tuesday, July 19th

Commissioning Service
Our Towaoc Mission Adventure 2011 began this evening with a gathering of the entire Mission Team for a commissioning service.  Some family & friends also attended the service with the Reverend Scott Pattison,  pastor at Trinity UMC in Kendallville, presiding over the service.  This mission journey will be a different adventure from past trips, not only for those going for the first time but also for those who have made the journey before.  Even though we will travel to the same location and bring the word of God to the Ute children, and teach them to let Jesus into their hearts, it will be a unique experience for each one of us.

Communion was also served to all those present who wished to partake of the bread and cup.  Then, it was time to go home and finish those last minute packing details so we could start our early (4:00 am) morning adventure on Wednesday.
